Here is an upclose shot :O)  This one measures 52×65 a highlights cute fall colored quails :O)  Coming soon – Gator, Seminole, and Miami stadium throws!

Also, I didn’t get any nominations for baby quilts sooo…I’m just going to choose one myself for the first round and hope this catches on – winner TBA hopefully within the week.

I have been thinking a little about this recently and I think that I want to start making quilts for the babies of the IVP league.  Hmmm, we will see.  Any thoughts on how I would go about doing this?  Or do you think anyone would even want them?

This is one of my favs so far…hope you like it :)

This is an up close :O)  I used the Figgy Pudding charm pack (from Moda) for this table topper.  I am thinking about selling this one or maybe raffling it off for our United W.ay basket raffle.  I can’t decide :O)  Would you buy it?

Here is my first Christmas project this year – Only 95 days left to get them all done!  Hope you like it :)

P4160108

The beginning – the very first quilt square at this point I haven’t even cut all the strips yet.

P4220115

The halfway point – the pattern is done but the borders have not yet been added.

P9160321

The end – I had this quilt custom quilted and it turned out even more beautiful that I imagined it would – I so didn’t want to give it away!

P9160316

here is one of the back so you can see what it looks like on the other side – I chose a King Tut thread that was tricolored – pink, green and white for the border and another green and brown thread for the middle butterfly squares.

last one i promise! It’s an up-close of the border so you can see the contrast of the thread on the brown :)

Hope you like what I did – I sure loved doing it :)

I have been having cramps all day – serious “your period is coming” cramps.  I though for sure I started today but nothing yet.  My longest cycle since losing the weight has been 36 days so that would mean if I haven’t started by Friday – I guess I would be late?  Who the heck knows?  I am tired of guessing.  In other more wonderful news….Biggest Loser started back up again!  The season premiere was AWESOME!  That show has been so helpful to me on my weight loss journey.  So today I got my starting weight  -187.  In 15 weeks I hope to be another 20lbs. lighter.  165 here is come!  Also – I know there’s more – I took some pics of the quilt and I will post them shortly.  I actually have a lot of pics to post I have been promising them for a while!  Some from Vegas and Sanibel too!

We got a few christmas miracles this year – I was able to finish my mom’s quilt on time, I met my christmas weight loss goal and we recieved some monetary help :o )
The quilt is beautiful! It’s a log cabin pattern… in a queen size bed spread! I did it all on my little machine at the house and I was really impressed with how it turned out. I will post some pics of it later so you can all see :o )
Second my chirstmas weight loss goal was to be at 193.5 and I MADE it! Un-real. That’s not to say that since i made it I haven’t taken this weekend off to enjoy some pretty yummy holiday foods – but I met my first goal so YEAH for me!
Third, the monetary help. We were very fortunate to get some help in becoming debt free – I am happy to report now that ALL of our debt is paid in full and the credit cards have been cut – every single one.
Scoobie got a new home (our female boston) because she was getting aggressive. She and our older female got in a fight and knocked daisy’s two front teeth out when she bit her through the bottom of her mouth. As much as I didn’t want to see her go – we found a really great home with lot’s of running room (a farm) where she is the only dog. It’s an older couple so they needed some companionship too. She has been gone for a week now and while I am sad about it – I am happy that I had a small part in making them all a happy new family :o )
Last (i think), my cousin is living with us. This has been the biggest adjustment so far. He and his wife are getting a divorce and he needed a place to stay. Since we all work at the same place and on the same shift it just made sense. He doesn’t have a car so we have been his ride for the last two weeks. We are going looking for some used cars and an apartment SOON. Not that I don’t love him being here but I love my privacy more – honestly there is nothing like sitting on your back porch naked or in your recliner naked or just being…… naked. I miss that A LOT. So some incentive for both of us to get it together to help him – get it together!

I have been looking for a good pattern for my handmade Christmas present.  This year I have decided to give my sister and SIL quilted table placemats.  We made a trip to our local fabric store today and spent a good two hours trying to pick out the fabrics that would look the best.  We came away with $42 worth of fabric.  HOLY Crap it got expenisive to have a hobby!  Here are a few pic of my latest creation
