CD 15…

I thought for sure the monitor would give me a peak day today but no…  Still high which is good and I am thankful for but it would be nice to see a peak for once.  I am set for another insem this afternoon and another run tonight.  The running and working out is really helping to keep my mind off of the craziness of ttc right now.   We walked last night 2.4 miles and today I am having a lot of sinus drainage…hopefully it will not turn into an infection that would make me have to take medicine.  You know how that stuff just zapps fluid.  Speaking of …I have noticed a nice progression of fluid this cycle and have checked my cervix twice and have been able to see a difference there too.  I am still taking the metformin in half doses twice a day and it seems to be easier on my system and might even be more balanced to help my cycle as well.  So, that’s the scoop in ttc world right now but I’m asking the heavens above to give me something more exciting to blog about it a little over two weeks time (positive hpt, positive HPT, POSITIVE HPT).  Just putting it out there

In other news, my quilting projects are coming along so/so.  Jo’s is finished with the exception of one border and I really want to throw it out the door.  It has been a pain in my ass since I started it and I just don’t feel like I did all that good on this one.  Good enough to be sure, but not at the same time.  I also am getting ready to start making my jars of christmas goodies to sell, quillo.ws and casserole carriers too…for gifts and for sale.  I am going to call them Casserole kimonos   My boss is back from maternity leave and boy am I stoked about it!  responsibility gone, stress gone, personnel issues…GONE!  That was the toughest part of the job was managing the people – not fun.  Anyway, with tropical storm Ida we are getting lots of rain so I gotta get going before it starts pouring again…send me some positive vibes ya’ll!  Much love to everyone ttc – i hope we all win the baby lottery this month!

 

sorry, it’s been nuts…

so it must appear that I fell off the face of the earth…well at least for a week that is.  We have been dealing with some more vandalism to our stuff which has led me into buying a home security system.  I haven’t got it yet but when I do…you just wait you little bastards.  Vandalizing a mailbox is a misdemeanor here and when I get your little asses on tape…ahh, sweet revenge.  Moving on…it is CD 32 today and I still haven’t heard anything from ole AF yet.  A little spotting yesterday but nothing out of the ordinary.  It went away as quickly as it came so I am thinking this cycle was definately annov.  Probably a response to the increase in my workout schedule. 

In business news – I went to the local quilt shop to show my latest creation AND…. she liked my work so well she has agreed to hang some of my stuff in her shop to sell and asked me to be a pattern tester for her :O)  I still haven’t given a definite yes to the pattern testing though.  Mainly because right now I work at my own pace and I am afraid that if I start that I won’t have the luxury of working slowly.  But I do get to keep the projects I make and the pattern…I only have to pay for the fabric – which ok is expensive but…I was buying it anyway   I wish everyone a GREAT week and enjoy this awesome weather – it’s in the 70’s here in the Sunshine state…just lovely!  And where ever you are in your TTC journey – good luck I hope there are BFP’s all around this month

blackberry bliss…

So I totally got a new phone this week…a super cute pink blackberry curve and I love it!  I am addicted to my crackberry!  I am still waiting on my glasses from the eye exam I had earlier this week.  They are cute too – black Kenneth Coles   Not that I am a fashionista or anything but it just so happens that the things I like are in style.  I got a new Vera.Bradley purse 2 weekends ago – a new brown oriental style pattern and a wallet to match.  Jo bought them for me.  Then I bought her some clothes  

In other slightly depressing news, the window in our car got shot out…again.  By the little homo hating assholes from across the street.  Last week they hit our mailbox as well.  Now, I don’t know much about anything but I know enough to recognize hate crimes when I see them.  I think after 5 years here the rednecks across the way realized that we are gay and aren’t pleased with that.  I debated on if I should call the cops or not – I don’t really have any concrete proof so it would just be their word against mine.  Now I have another reason that I hate being home alone.  I could use some advice on how to handle the situation if anyone has any

In ttc news, still no peak and the monitor is still asking for sticks – im on CD 24.  SO either this cycle was a bust = anov. OR the monitor is just getting used to me.  I am thinking the first because I still have yet to have any fertile quality cervical fluid.

I weight loss news, umm…. Ben and Jerry paid me a visit tonight and that’s all I will say about that

In business news, the website is up and I am just waiting on some buyers.  We went to the local “downhome days” today partly for fun, partly for re-con   I want to know what my competition is doing and after today I can honestly say – they ain’t doin much.  There were almost more food booths than craft booths and one guy was selling manufactured quilts at insanely marked up prices – people aren’t stupid…”I saw this quilt at Wal.mart for $35″  and they were charging $80.  So, I hope by next year I have built up enough inventory to go sell some authentic homemade quilts and make some money!  Oh and while on the subject of today…my brother was at the fair as well with his church.  They had a booth to raise money.  We went to say hi he introduced me to the pastor of the church who knows I am gay and he acted like it was burning his hand to touch me.  Not to mention that he didn’t even look at me when he shook my hand.  Queue me and Jo leaving…

Last but not least pics of our UW basket which I think came out pretty great!  We donated a new Wii and some accessories to be raffled off for our local charity – again – our work sponsors this event with the United.Way - we just choose to participate or not.  I am not in any way endorsing the UW or any businesses that they are affiliated with.  Now on with the show:

starting a business…

I have decided to start a business…WHOA I know!  So the first thing to do was secure a name – I am still in the process of doing that and also creating my insignia.  This is a very exciting time for us and after I get pregnant it may also become an alternate form of income allowing me to work from home.  I have a few ideas name wise and as soon as I have a web page up I will post the link here.  I will also have a blog for the company to announce contests/specials.  So that’s my big news for today OH and that I forgot to POAS this morning for my monitor so now I am worried that I just royal screwed this whole cycles monitoring.
